Johor Ancient Temple, over 100 years old, is one of the oldest buildings in Johor. It is located on Jalan Trus in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Every year from the 18th to the 22nd day of the first lunar month, it hosts a series of activities, including a lighting ceremony, street washing, the procession of the gods, a night parade, and the return procession. The 8-kilometer night parade of the gods is a highlight.
We highly recommend you participate in this intangible cultural heritage event and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere. The Johor Ancient Temple procession of the gods is not only a religious feast, but also a cultural legacy for Chinese Malaysians.
